Mike Hawthorn

Mike Hawthorn was the first F1 driver to win the Le Mans back in 1955. But that was not it. He was also the first driver to win both the F1 and Le Mans titles. However, the Le Mans victory came first in his entire career. His F1 title came in 1958. But in 1959, he was involved in a traffic accident that took his life.

Phil Hill (Phil Hill)

Phil Hill won the F1 championship in 1961. But he won Le Mans three times in 1958, 1961, and 1962. But he also failed to finish his 14 starts. His debut was with the delegation of the American Rees T.Makins team. That battle lasted for 80 laps before the transmission issue. He did take the overall win three times, which was quite an achievement for an F1 racer.

Jochen Rindt

Jochen Rindt participated in the Le Man’s competition four times in total. The endurance race was from 1964 to 1967. His first entry didn’t come out well. But he then got it at the second entry. It was his first and last victory at Le Mans. Team Lotus is the team where he’d delegated. He managed to win five of the nine races that began in 1970. However, he was killed in the same year during a practice session.

Graham Hill

Graham Hill won the Le Mans crown once in 1972. Prior to getting the crown, the F1 racers won the F1 championship twice, in 1962 and 1968.

If we say he is a double crown holder, it would be a mistake. He is, in fact, a triple crown holder. He won the Indianapolis 500, Le Mans 24 Hours, as well as Formula 1’s Monaco GP.

Fernando Alonso
